Assistant Payroll Manager

Description:Assist Payroll Manager by adminstering and managing the day to day payroll operations for a high volume weekly payroll.
Duties:Responsibilities include:

Monitoring the daily processing of payroll.

Provide direct leadership of activities perfomed by payroll staff.

Process and/or supervise the processing of weekly payroll including miscellaneous adjustments.

Balance Payroll Run and perform Post Audits to ensure accuracy.

Respond to employee inquiries.

Provide support and assistance to Payroll Manager in all payroll functions.

Prepare Management Reports as requested.

Enforce adherence to established company policies and guidelines.

Qualifications:Multi-State Payroll Experience (5+ years preferred)

Supervisory Experience (3+ years preferred)

Strong Analytical, Organizational, and Time Management Skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of Payroll and Accounting practices and procedures.

Knoweldge of Federal, State, and Local employment regulations and tax processing procedures.

Ability to prioritize work load and ability to meet deadlines with speed and accuracy.

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.

Sage Timberline Experience a Plus.
